Nectar Feeder

Designed for the safe feeding of honey-eating birds

The Topflite Nectar Feeder encourages the natural foraging behaviour of honey-eating birds while putting hygiene first. The feeder’s design originates from New Zealand where it was developed with experts to cater for nectar-sipping birds. Featuring a wide perching ring to give larger birds space to feed, and a base that accommodates the unique brush-tipped tongues of honeyeating birds, it is ideal for feeding lorikeets, wattlebirds and honey-eaters. Pollinators are protected from entering the nectar reservoir by the bee cap, and the feeder’s robust glass construction makes it dishwasher-safe for optimal bird-feeding hygiene.

Instructions for use

Fill the clean bottle with bird-specific nectar mix or water. Screw the bottle into the red base firmly but avoid overtightening the thread. Ensure the legs on the red cap are pointing down so that it sits above the liquid, helping to keep bees out. Dirty bird feeders are a danger to bird populations as they spread pathogens. Empty and clean your feeder daily in warm weather, and every two days in cooler weather. Use gentle soap and warm water or run it through the dishwasher. Throw out any liquid not consumed before refilling.
